Strand CD80 Test Module

Description

Here we have a re-creation of the hard to find Strand CD80 Dimmer Test Module using a re-purposed standard CD80 dimmer module.
It replaces a dual 2.4kw dimmer chassis and verifies the dimmer space is properly controlled by the control console. Indicator lights on the test module respond to signals from the control console. The actual lighting load connected to the dimmer space will not respond to console commands when the test module is in use.
An iron vane volt meter or true RMS digital meter may be connected to the front panel test jacks to the monitor output voltage of each dimmer. As there is no neutral connection to the rear of the module, a test lead is supplied to connect between a white neutral jack on the tester face plate to the rack frame (ground) per Strand's original instructions. NOTE: this is for the original CD80, not AE or SV versions.
