RUSSWIN 11248 ART DECO ENTRY LOCK SET w/ KNOBS, PLATES & KEYS (12150)
NOTE:
The 11248 was one of Russwin's most popular locks and it was made with several variations although the size of the lock body is the same and faceplate is the same on all of them.  Some wee made with a deadbolt and some without a deadbolt.  This version is with the deadbolt and with a 2 1/2" backset.
Vintage:
RUSSWIN circa 1920 - 1950 entry mortise lock lock.   Complete set, comes with a vintage Russwin brass cylinder and one keys.
Heavy brass faceplate by Russwin, one of America's great manufacturers of builder's hardware during the second half of the 19th & early part of the 20th Century.
Dimensions as follows:
FACEPLATE:
Brass face plate measures  7 3/4" long, 1" wide, 1/8" thick.
BOX:
Box is 3 1/4" deep from the back of the front plate and it is 5 1/2" top to bottom.
SCREWS:
Screws are on 6 3/4" centers.
BACKSET:
Backset (the distance from the front of the front plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 1/2".
REVERSIBILITY:
The lock is reversible. Functions perfectly.
KNOB POST:
Accommodates a split knob post of 5/16" on the inside and 3/8" on the outside, the knob post is included in the set.
BACKPLATES:
Art Deco design, exterior plate measures 9" top to bottom and 2 1/4" wide at the widest point across the cylinder lock.  The interior backplate measures 6 1/2" top to bottom and 1 3/4" at the widest point.
KNOBS:
Both the Art Deco style knobs and the Art Deco Style backplates are brass plated.  The knobs have a diameter of  2 1/8".
