ONE PENN #2355 PASSAGE MORTISE LOCK w/KEY - FULLY RESTORED (16187)
Vintage, circa 1930: Salvaged PENN passage mortise lock with key.  Has been cleaned inside and out and fully restored. The lock carries the PENN logo on the case and the PENN model number 2355 inside the box in box casting.
FACEPLATE:  Mortise lock has a heavy brass face plate with a length of 5 7/16" and a width of 7/8" and thickness of 1/8".
MORTISE BOX: The mortise box itself is 3 3/16" deep from the front edge of the brass faceplate and the box 3 3/4" high.   Box is 5/8" thick, clearly marked with the PENN logo in the casting.
The lock is reversible.
BACKSET: The backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 1/2".
DROP: The drop (the distance from the the center of the knob post hole to the center of the top of the round portion at the top of the key slot is 2 1/8
".
KNOB POST:  The lock accommodates a standard 5/16" knob post.
KEY: The lock comes with the key.
