    Description

    One pair of flush mount semi-mortise slide door bolts, manufactured circa 1860, in plain wrought iron, restored and complete.   Bolts are mounted as semi-mortise so that when it is in place the plate is flush with the door surface.  Bolt plate measures 9" high x 1 1/4" wide and requires a 3/4" surface mortise (bolt shown from side in photos ).  The iron knob operator is 3/4" diameter and the bolts throw 5/8".  Flat keeper measures 2" x 7/8".  This type of bolt was used as top bolt and bottom bolts.  Springs are strong and will hold the bolt in position when engaged.  Purchase is for one pair (2) bolts.
