ONE KEAN & DOTY EASTLAKE MORTISE LOCK w/KEY - CIRCA 1890 RECONDITIONED (15278)
Vintage, Circa 1890, Kean & Doty Manufacturing Co., Cleveland Ohio.  Key works just fine, reconditioned, mortise lock is fully functioning and carries a Eastlake design on the cast face plate of the lock.
Measurements as follows:
FACEPLATE: 5  9/16" long, 15/16" wide, 1/8" thick.
BOX: Box is 3 1/4" deep from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the box and it is 3 3/4" top to bottom.
SCREWS: Screw holes are on 5" centers.
BACKSET: Set back from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 1/2".
DROP: The drop, the distance from the center of the knob post hole down to the center of the round portion at the top of the key hole, is 2 1/8".
KNOB POST: The lock accepts a standard 5/16" knob shaft or know post.
KEY: Functioning key provided with the lock.
REVERSIBILITY: The lock is reversible.
