    Description

    Early 1800's Suffolk style thumb latch handle in wrought iron with modified arrow cusps, restored and completed with replica bar set in steel reproduced in the old style.  Thumb press is flat and pinned with a pinned straight lift which will accommodate a door up to 1" thick without modification.  Handle measures
    8" high x 2"
    across widest part of the cusps.  Hand grasp has a 4" grip opening and is 3/4" wide across the center of the flat handle.  A well executed early thumb latch handle showing pitting and stippling from weather over a long period.  The bar set consists of a  6 1/2" bar, a 1 1/2" high drive-in staple with 1 3/4" drive-in prongs, and a drive-in jamb keeper 2 5/8" overall.  Purchase is for one complete wrought iron thumb latch restored and completed.
