CORBIN # 567 ENTRY MORTISE LOCK w/LARGE CYLINDER & KEY - VERY NICE (12177)
Vintage, P.F. CORBIN, circa 1900-1920 and exhibited in their 1927 catalog (see picture).  Push button mortise lock with oversized (1 1/4" diameter) Corbin cylinder and key!  Finish has been lightly cleaned, this lock would have logically been used for a very nice and expensive home entry door. Works great.
The knob post shaft required for this lock is the standard 3/8" with a pivot shaft beauase of the push buttons.
Mortise lock has a front plate length of 7 3/4" and a width of 1 1/4" and thickness of 3/16".  The lock is not reversible and it is set for a Left hand entry (see chart in pictures, it set for the second picture from the left in the door hand chart).
Screw holes are on 6 7/8" centers.
The backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 3/4".
The drop (the distance from the center of the lock cylinder hole to the center of the knob post hole) is 3".   Very nice lock that works perfectly!
