    CORBIN #1343 ENTRY MORTISE LOCK w/KEY: 2 3/4" BACKSET - 1927 CATALOG (14361)
    NOTE:
    Corbin made two versions of the 1343, one with a 2 1/2" backset and the other with a 2 3/4" backset.  This version is the 2 3/4" backset.
    Vintage: Corbin, shows in their 1927 catalog, clearly marked inside #1343, extremely well made, brass face with a very nice red brass patina, very heavy duty mortise lock!
    FACEPLATE MEASUREMENTS:
    Heavy bright brass face plate, measures 7 7/8" by 1" wide &  1/8" thick brass.  Screws are on 7" centers and underneath the top brass facing on the lock.
    SCREWS:
    Screws are on 7" centers.
    BOX MEASUREMENTS:
    Box is 3 5/8" deep from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the back of the black box. It is 5 5/8" top to bottom.
    BACKSET:
    (the distance from the front edge of the front plate to the center of the knob post hole)
    on this one is 2 3/4"

    NOTE: #1323 was produced with a 2 3/4" backset and with a 2 1/2" backset.
    DROP:
    (the distance from the center of the cylinder hole down to the center of the knob post hole) is 3 3/4".
    KNOB POST:
    This #1343 is designed for a 3/8" transitional two piece knob post from each side of the door.
    THUMB TURN:
    Has a square knob post hole for a thumb turn knob to be used from the inside to lock and unlock the door.
    CYLINDER:
    Comes with a new Security Guard brass lock cylinder and two keys.
    If you are simply replacing an existing lock that matches this you may have everything you need.  Otherwise let us know if you need a knob post, knobs, plates, etc and we can try to find them and then run a Buy It Now auction for anything else you might need.
