    Description

    Circa 1820 antique Norfolk wrought iron thumb latch in wrought iron and completed with replacement bar set hand made in our shop.
    The handle is original from the early 1800's.
    The f
    ull back plate of the handle measures 6 1/2" high x 1 1/4" wide.  The handle portion is about 3  3/8" high.  The thumb press is scooped and pinned on the back pivot with a nicely curved wrought thumb lift extending out the back about 2  3/8".  Nicely executed early American handle in black finish.  The bar set is a follows:  mount member measures 1  7/8" high x 3/4" wide, the bar is 6  1/2", the staple is 2  1/4" x 3/4" and the keeper is 2  1/4" x 3/4" and extends about 1".  Made to specification from original sets.  Handle is in very good condition..
