Brass Rim Lock Molded Edge RH Large Colonial Period

Description

A period brass and wrought iron lock that is a right hand only lock. The case is cast brass with wrought iron works on the inside {open back} and is held in place by screws on the latch side of the lock. The brass case shows wear from the age of the lock and hacksaw marks around the door knob were someone tried to remove the original knobs, that I have smoothed out somewhat. The lock measures 7-¾ X 5-3/8 inches high and has a slide bolt for privacy. The knobs are replacement and can be adjusted to any door thickness.
