    Description

    Cast iron Victorian horizontal rim lock which mounts on the surface of the door, manufactured by P. & F. Corbin and marked with the Corbin trademark on both sides, circa 1885.  Lock measure
    s 3 1/4" high x 4 1/8" deep
    and is
    reversible handing
    .  Keeper is 3/4" additional.  Lock has a night latch on the top edge of the lock which allows you to lock the door knobs for privacy without using the keyed bolt.  Back set is 3 1/4" to knob center.  Restored to black finish complete with original brown mineral door knobs.  Accompanied by original cast iron rosette, key escutcheon, and one key.
