    Description

    Wonderful mid-19th Century surface mount door latch with lock and 2 handles. The back of the box is open, possibly because it sits against the door or possibly there is a back plate that's missing, we aren't sure. The rod that holds the handles is a little bent from years of use and there is some scarring on the handle that looks like an original repair from when it was made or soon thereafter.
    Normal signs of age and use overall. The latch is stiff, but moves up and down when the handles are turned/pushed. We do not have a key.
    The forged lock box is about 5" x 6" x 1-1/4" thick, and the handles are 4-3/4" long
